A Rare Warring States Fabric-Impressed Proto-porcelain Jar
475 - 221 BC, Warring States Period
The thinly potted ovoid body impressed by evenly laid fabric with a fine mesh pattern ending below the sharply defined mouth rim, applied on either side of the shoulder with two s-shaped scrolls, the flat base burnt orange in the firing extending to the lower sides of the jar, in overall very good condition, some expected degradation, firing flaws and minor chips on the mouth rim
