Low back and with no protruding ends at the crestrail and armrests, the dragon motifs on back splat and open-carved apron indicating the style transition from 16th / 17th century to early18th century, Ming style to Qing style, this pair representing the supreme craftsmanship of the Work of Anhui ("Huizuo"), early Qing dynasty, late 17th / early 18th century, acquired in Huizhou area, Anhui province
The aprons under the footrests for both chairs are missing, and some repairs from previous users can be seen.
